Our Story

In January 1994 a small group of dedicated people started a small traditional Shabbat service at Temple Emanuel. A community was formed with the arrival of Rabbi Moshe and Dinie Scheiner.

Based on a philosophy of reaching out to fellow Jews while putting them in touch with their heritage, the Scheiners were passionate in their desire to “make a difference.” From humble beginnings, Palm Beach Synagogue has blossomed into a flourishing center of Jewish activity with approximately 300 members.

From synagogue services to community outreach events, Palm Beach Synagogue prides itself on being a place of warm welcome for Jews from all walks of life and all levels of Jewish observance. With its inviting spirit, our synagogue is a place where people truly care about their fellow Jews and the community.

With Early Childhood programs, Hebrew Elementary School, Maimonides High School, an array of youth events, and an extensive and enriching adult education program, Palm Beach Synagogue is a place where young and old, families and singles can come together to connect, celebrate, worship and study.

Palm Beach Synagogue has introduced a new dimension of growth and dynamism to the Palm Beach Jewish community.
